Portsmouth Naval Shipyard is seeking to identify sources capable of supporting a Firm Fixed Price contract for a Vendor will perform overhaul of provided asset to include tear down of unit, motor will have condition checked and rotor and stator will be tested, wear parts in motor and compressor will be replaced, compressor will be air run, compressor to be set up on a test stand and ran to verify oil pressure, unit to be reassembled with nitrogen blanket and be painted This sources sought notice is a market research tool being utilized to identify potential and eligible firms capable of providing these services prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Proposal (RFP).

As such, all interested parties are encouraged to respond. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
