The United States Department of the Naval Medical Research Command (NMRC) intends to award a sole source contract to, Franklin Young International Inc. in Upland, CA. This requirement is for authorized approved vendors to perform services for brand name equipment. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals however If interested Government shall consider all responses. The government’s minimum requirement is for the purchase of a new Heracell VIOS 250i CO2 incubator and support frame. The minimum required incubator features are listed below:
Direct air jacketed heating design featuring high quality thermal jacket insulation and THRIVE active airflow to ensure homogenous conditions; Fan assisted circulation, allowing recovery under 10 minutes of all parameters (temperature, CO2, and relative humidity) following a 30 second door opening; Minimal maintenance required: only requires addition of water and replacement of HEPA filter; Simplified water drainage; 180C high heat sterilization; Fast temperature recovery following; 255 Liter capacity; ISO Class 5 HEPA filtration to continuously filter the entire chamber air volume every 60 seconds; Continuous protection to minimize airborne contaminants settling on interior surfaces; and Interactive touchscreen control to provide visibility to changes in culture environment with performance trend graphing, error or usage logs.

This requirement will be procured under the guidelines of FAR Part 12 Commercial Items. NMRC requires that all contractors doing business with the Acquisition Office must be registered with the Systems for Award Management (SAM). No award can be made unless the vendor is registered in Systems for Award Management.
