This solicitation is being issued as a small business set-aside. The associated NAICS code is 334516. Offerors must also be registered in Systems for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov per FAR 52.212.1. Lack of registration in SAM will qualify contractor as ineligible for award. All responsible sources may submit a quotation in response to this solicitation which shall be considered.
The solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) for a firm fixed type contract based on the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable. This requirement is for authorized approved vendors to perform services for brand name equipment. The Naval Medical Research Command (NMRC) intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror. All offers must have a Unique Entity Identification Number at (SAM) at www.sam.gov.
NMRC's Microbiology and Immunology Department of the Biological Defense Research Directorate is developing methods to identify biological toxins in various matrices, using equipment suitable for mobile laboratories. As a part of this program, the Department requires a compact Mass Spectrometer to be used for toxin identification. Specifically, the following items are needed:
