HARD DRIVE DEGAUSSER/DISINTEGRATOR

NAVSUP Fleet Logistics San Diego (FLCSD) Intends to award a Sole Source contract to Data Security, Inc., 300 S. 7th St., Lincoln, NE 68508 USA, in accordance with FAR 13.1-6-1(b)(1)(i).

Thia requirement is for Data Security, Inc.’s SSMD-2mm Solid State Media Disintegrator 230V, 1 HD-5T Degausser, 1 DB-4000 Destruction Device, 1 SSMD-2mm Level 3 Spare Parts Kit, 1 SSMD-2mm Debris Bin Bafs (qty: 50), 1 Utility Cart, 1 SSMD-2mm Replacement Air Filter Set, to be used by the Explosive Ordinance Disposal Expeditionary Support Unit One (EODESU One) located on NAB Coronado in San Diego, Ca. The proposed contract action is Sole Source only. This Notice of Intent is not a request for quotation.

No solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit capability information in response to this notice by 1500 PM PDT 12 February 2024 via email to bernard.k.obrien.civ@us.navy.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is entirely at the discretion of the Government.

NOTE: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by the closed date specified herein will be considered by the Government.

A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
