7A21 - Adobe Software

This proposed acquisition is to?renew software assurance in order to continue the current use of the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Suite for our BUPERS-07 developers. It also provides Electronic Military Personnel Records System (EMPRS) and its associated sub-system Navy Department Awards Web Service (NDAWS) with capabilities to create or retrieve, view, search, correct, digitally sign, verify, e-submit, store, print, and collaborate Navy personnel forms in PDF format using vendor-supplied COTS software.

The AEM Suite will allow the continued use of the electronic Forms Platform, a tool found on the BUPERs website that is used by both active duty and retired sailors for interactively preparing personnel forms. The Forms Platform can also be easily adjusted to provide a way for individual programs to implement all forms, Navy wide. As the Navy’s management system moves further towards a paperless management system the continued support of the AEM Suite is critical. Failure to continue the use of the AEM Suite will compromise the Navy’s ability to maintain and manage all personnel issues that impact Sailors both active duty and retired.
