University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) is being awarded a $23,535,959 Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with the ability to issue cost plus fixed fee (CPFF) task orders for the Research and Development (R&D) of the Navy’s Next-Generation Navy Environmental Prediction System Utilizing a Nonhydrostatic Engine (NEPTUNE). 2304(c)(3)(B), as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-3, this contract was not competitively procured: Industrial Mobilization; Engineering, Developmental, or Research Capability; or Expert Services. This IDIQ includes a five-year ordering period. A $11,832,439 CPFF task order was issued concurrently. This task order has a base year and two option periods.
