Request for Information (RFI): Electron Beam Welding Qualification This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) and award of a contract will not be made as a result of this questionnaire. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) is requesting assistance from commercial industry to conduct market research. This request is for unqualified NSWCCD electron welding contractor only, NSWCCD electron welding qualified contractors are not interested parties.
Responding to this Request for Information (RFI) is required for any contractor wishing to be considered for future contract opportunities related to NSWCCD electron?beam welding qualifications. The purpose of this RFI is to conduct market research by soliciting industry comments and feedback. Market Research is being conducted to determine all potential socio-economic small businesses and large businesses interested in, and capable of, providing the support services identified herein. This posting is issued in accordance with the requirements of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 10. Responses should include the following:
Cover page, not to exceed one (1) page that includes:
Organization name and address Point of contact name and contact information Size and type of organization, including if applicable U.S. small business or other status Brief statement of interest that indicates the organization’s interest in applying as a prime or subcontractor. Response to NSWCCD objectives shall not exceed 5 pages. Interested parties shall describe their capabilities and provide relevant past performance for tasking similar to tasking outlined in the DRAFT Performance Work Statement (PWS).
Interested parties shall address any barriers to satisfying the PWS and provide recommendations such as modifications that would be required to be able to satisfy task areas within the PWS. NSWCCD is also seeking industry feedback on the following discussion areas and questions provided below.
NSWCCD Questions: Which sections of the draft PWS are you capable of performing? Outline your capabilities (equipment, facilities, and personnel qualifications) to perform these tasks. Outline your experience performing tasks related to the draft PWS, particularly in accordance with the standards/qualifications. NSWCCD intends to fulfill this requirement via a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) completion form contract with an anticipated award date of Fourth Quarter, Fiscal Year 2026.
