25 MARCH 2024 SOURCES SOUGHT: In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201(e), the Government is issuing this Sources Sought announcement as part of market research. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC-CR) is seeking information for market research purposes to acquire new fabrication and refurbishment for TR-343 Tube Assemblies and TR-343A Tube Assemblies. The Government has a requirement for new fabrication and refurbishment for TR-343 Tube Assemblies and TR-343A Tube Assemblies and is accepting information regarding capabilities from companies potentially capable of meeting the requirements as described above.

BACKGROUND: NSWC-CR has been tasked with procuring TR-343 Tube Assemblies. The TR-343 Transducer tube assemblies ensure and protect various components of the TR-343 Transducer. The tube assemblies are utilized in the TR-343 Transducer that are part of the AN/SQS-53C Hull Sonar Array Subsystem within the AN/SQQ-89(V) ASW System. The tube assemblies are utilized to isolate and protect the TR-343 & TR-343A transducers internal components, which contain high voltage. These characteristics of these tube assemblies are properly cleaned, sandblasted and powder coated to protect the structural integrity of the tube for the TR-343 Transducer.
