Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) intends to contract with Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (LMRMS) located in Uniondale, NY to provide hardware and software design, testing, installation, repairs, spares, and material for the Strategic Weapon System (SWS) TRIDENT Fleet Support, SWS TRIDENT II SSP Shipboard Integration (SSI) Increment 8, Shipboard Systems Modernization Portfolio (SSMP), COLUMBIA (CLB) Class and United Kingdom (UK) Dreadnought (DRNT) Navigation (NAV) Subsystem.
The contractor will provide SSP with support for the United States (U.S.) and UK TRIDENT programs.
The primary functions of this contract are for product-based procurement with some technical engineering services for Trident II SWS Shipboard Navigation subsystem development, material procurement, production, integration, installation & testing, operational fleet & logistics support, training & technical services support, and engineering overhaul support for both the United States OHIO and United Kingdom Vanguard (VANG) class submarines.
Effort also includes TRIDENT II SWS Shipboard Navigation Subsystem development, material procurement, production, integration, installation & testing, construction, shipbuilding support, and training & technical services support for both the CLB and DRNT Class submarines.
The performance period start date will be 1 October 2026 to a completion date of 30 September 2028 with an option period beginning on 1 October 2027 to a completion date of 30 September 2029. The contract will also include an option provision to increase the level-of-effort (term) line items up to 30%. Award will be made using other than full and open competition to LMRMS of Uniondale, NY.
As the designated TRIDENT Navigation Subsystem Integrator, LMRMS is the only known source with the requisite design background, system knowledge and operational experience relative to the TRIDENT II Navigation Subsystem capable of providing the required efforts within existing technical, cost and fleet schedule constraints. No solicitation package is available. This NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITVE PROPOSALS.
The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responses must be received within fifteen days from the date of publication of this synopsis.
