ADVANCED FIRE CONTROL SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT

The Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) and negotiate a new procurement modification under existing contract N0003024C1005 issued on a sole-source basis to General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS), Pittsfield, MA. The procurement requires the contractor to provide support of the Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Fire Control Sub-System (FCS).

The contractor shall: Provide design and development efforts and necessary materials to accelerate development of the Advanced FCS and associated derisking activities. Deliver equipment to support program schedule dates for SPALT 30365 (FIRE CONTROL REPLACEMENT SYSTEM) – US Replacement as defined in OD 71981, Program Plan for the SSBN Replacement Fire Control System and Shipboard Data System, and the T9001C checklist. Perform Program Protection in support of the Program Portfolio.

This effort is inextricably linked to work already being performed by GDMS under contract N0003024C1005, which was awarded 22 January 2024 using other than full and open competition.
