Calibration and repair of GFP under the AN/APX-111 CIT program

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a sole source Basic Ordering Agreement order to BAE Systems, Greenlawn NY, for repair and calibration of a Government Furnished Peak Power Meter, to return it to ready for testing condition. This GFP is used to maintain operability of a Government Furnished test bench, which is needed to continue CIT testing.

This BOA is being awarded on a sole source basis to BAE in accordance with the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition under Title 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(l), as implemented by FAR Part 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." Pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A), award to a source other than BAE Systems for these requirements would result in substantial duplication of cost not expected to be recovered through competition. BAE is the only company with the unique knowledge, experience, special skills, facilities, manufacturing techniques, and technical data required to support this effort.
