This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, responsible, interested parties may identify their interest and capability by responding to this notice. The Government will consider all information received prior to the closing date of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

DESCRIPTION: The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Program Executive Office for Unmanned Aviation and Strike Weapons (PEO (U&W)) PMA-201, at Patuxent River, MD announces a requirement to procure Computer Control Group (CCG) and Airfoil Group (AFG) components for GBU-10/12/16 Laser Guided Bombs (LGBs) for the United States Navy and Foreign Military Sale (FMS) partners. NAVAIR intends to conduct a limited sources competition in support of this requirement.

NAVAIR does not own a complete Technical Data Package for LGB and requirements for Laser Guided Bomb Units (GBUs) are contained in the Performance Specification for Laser Guided Bomb developed by the United States Air Force (USAF) Paveway Systems Office. These performance specifications include certification, qualification, and verification for areas such as Hazardous Environmental Radiation to Ordnance (HERO), shipboard shock, safety, and flight clearances.

INCUMBENTS: The previous contract were awarded to one of a succession of competitive source contracts awarded to the following prime contractors: Raytheon Missile Systems 1151 E Hermans Road Tucson, AZ 85756 Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control 459 Kennedy Drive Archbald, PA 18403 ANTICIPATED PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: This contract action will be a one year contract to procure CCG and AFG components for GBU-10/12/16 Laser Guided Bombs to satisfy Government requirements for Fiscal Year 2025. The anticipated award date is May 2025. CONTRACT TYPE: The contract type for this requirement is anticipated to be Firm Fixed Price.
