The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), V-22 Joint Program Office (PMA-275) awarded a firm-fixed price contract to Hamilton Sundstrand Corportation, Collins Aerospace, 1 Hamilton Rd. Windsor Locks, CT 06096 on a sole source basis for: the procurement of the modified and upgraded Constant Frequency Generator (CFG) General Control Units (GCUs).
This Delivery Order is in scope and was awarded on a sole source basis to Hamilton Sundstrand Corportation in accordance with the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition under Title 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), as implemented by FAR Part 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." Hamilton Sundstrand, Collins Aerospace is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the CFG GCUs as the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer.
Hamilton Sundstrand, Collins Aerospace is the only responsible source with the necessary access to the technical data and requisite expertise to perfom the effort within the required schedule.
