On Thursday, July 18, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. through 12:30 p.m., Central Time, the FAA Small Business Development Program Group (AAP-20) will host their Annual FAA Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) Small & Disadvantaged Business (SDB) Industry Day and Matchmaking and Networking Event. The event will include Program Briefings, and One-on-One Matchmaking Sessions with FAA procurement officials. Registration instructions will be publicly announced at www.sam.gov later this month. The MMAC is home to the largest number of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) employees outside the Washington, D.C. area. MMAC operates under the Office of Finance and Management (AFN) headquartered in Washington, D.C. AFN is responsible for providing, and streamlining the FAA's common business services through a consolidated integrated approach.

MMAC core (aviation safety service functions)include technical training (Air Traffic Controllers, Engineering & technicians, and Flight Safety Inspectors) development and delivery, corporate outreach, emergency readiness, property management, facilities management,and infrastructure support, centralized National Airspace System (NAS) logistics support, repair and overhaul as well as financial management, and information systems.
