MAIE Communications Equipment

Four PowerEdge XR4510c servers, two server chassis, two witness modules (for clustering/similar functionality), and two high-performance, ruggedized admin laptops outlined below are needed to support the transport and compute requirements on the communications system.

1. Dell XR4510c Server Node Requirements: • Storage: o (1) BOSS-N1 Controller with (2) M.2 480GB drives in RAID 1 (boot) o (4) 1.92TB NVMe Read Intensive M.2 22110 Gen3 Riser (datastore) • RAM: (4) 128GB LRDIMM, 3200MT/s, Quad Rank • CPU: (1) Intel Xeon D-2796NT, 2.0GHz, 20C/40T, Turbo, HT, 30MB cache, DDR4-2933 • Networking: o 4 x 25GbE SFP interfaces 2. Dell XR4520c Server Node Requirements: • Storage: o (1) BOSS-N1 Controller with (2) M.2 480GB drives in RAID 1 (boot) o (4) 1.92TB NVMe Read Intensive M.2 22110 Gen3 Riser (datastore) • RAM: (4) 128GB LRDIMM, 3200MT/s, Quad Rank • CPU: (1) Intel Xeon D-2796NT, 2.0GHz, 20C/40T, Turbo, HT, 30MB cache, DDR4-2933 • GPU: NVIDIA L4, PCIe, 72W, 24GB, Passive, Single Wide, Full Height • Networking: o 4 x 25GbE SFP interfaces 3. Dell XR4000r Chassis Requirements: • Function: Must support mounting and powering XR4510c and XR4520c server nodes • Warranty/Support: o 5-year support duration o Hard drives must be user-replaceable (not soldered); "Keep Your Hard Drive" applies to servers • Professional Services: o Onsite installation/implementation not required Furthermore, the Naval Integration Team requires two ruggedized, robust, high-capacity admin laptop machines to interface with the functional equivalent shipboard C4 systems environment being built out in the lab.

As outlined below, these machines need to be Page 2 of 9 Windows 11 compliant, and have sufficient compute power, memory, storage, and resources. The laptops will be used to support interoperability with numerous complex Navy and Marine Corps systems, host virtual machine (VM) servers, implement client VMs, support AI/Machine learning in potential future experimentation efforts, and support general programming during engineering and developmental testing of MAGTF tactical systems.

Additionally, the laptops may be required to support and provide advanced cybersecurity adversarial testing capability. Therefore, these are non-MCHS procurements due to MCHS options not meeting required speed, storage, cores, and GPU memory size requirements necessary to perform all planned functions. Not having these ten pieces of certain communications equipment or similar equivalents will limit the capabilities of the MAIE and its usefulness to the Naval Integration Team. The requested contract award date is 11 September 2025.
