NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE Marine Corps Field Contracting System, Marine Corps Installations East, Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, NC hereby gives notice of intent to award a sole source contract to Data Security, Inc, 300 S 7TH Street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68508-2401 in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) only one source reasonably available. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement.

This requirement is for the purchase of one SSDM-2MM Solid State Media Disintegrator part number 972-0001 and spare parts manufactured by Data Security, Inc. The item will be used to destroy optical media and media devices to include solid state media to 2mm size or less. Interested firms may submit information that indicates their ability to satisfy this requirement.
