Comcast Internet and Equipment

This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Firm Fixed Price FFP contract using FAR Part 12 and Part 13 procedures. Supply/Service needed: Two (2) COMCAST Commercial Business Internet lines, and twenty (20) COMCAST Commercial Cable Boxes with remotes. The existing COMCAST internet lines and services are intrinsically tied to a core command mission set requiring 24x7 access with zero room for shut downs or failures. If there were any interruption (to include shifting to another provider), the command mission would cease to operate and completely shut down a large portion of the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity (MCIA). The Government intends to Award on a Sole Source basis to:

COMCAST OF VIRGINIA, LLC at 1701 John F Kennedy BLVD Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19103-2838, United States. Under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonable available. All interested and/or responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
