Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Contract to THE FECHHEIMER BROTHERS COMPANY

This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Firm Fixed Price FFP contract using FAR Part 12 and Part 13 procedures. Supply needed: Marine Barracks Washington requires to purchase Officer Blue Blouse and White Trousers (Uniform Items). See Document “A-1. Salient Characteristics Officer Blue Blouse and White Trousers” for detail. The Government intends to award on a Sole Source basis to:

The Fechheimer Brothers Company, 4545 Malsbary RD, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45242 under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonable available. The reason for this Sole Source Award Intent is that THE FECHHEIMER BROTHERS COMPANY is the only vendor certified by Marine Corps Systems Command to provide these items to the United States Marine Corps.

Interested vendors: Vendors interested in getting certified may respond via email to Contract Specialist, Sgt Jacie Liu, at jacie.liu@usmc.mil, to receive Marine Corps Systems Command's point of contact. In your response, please indicate whether you can provide the requirement specified uniform items. Responses by no later than 31 August 2024, 11:00 AM (Eastern time).
