Notice of Intent to Single Source - Leased Equipment Buy-Out, Warranty and Support and Blood Culture Bottles

The Indian Health Service, Navajo Area, Gallup Service Unit in Gallup, New Mexico intends to negotiate a single-source award with Becton, Dickinson and Company, UEI: DP4CNEMUF5F3, for the buyout of leased BD Bactec FX equipment. Additionally, Gallup Service Unit also intends to negotiate a single-source award for the equipment warranty and support and blood culture bottles. The period of performance is September 19, 2024 through September 18, 2024 with four one-year options.

NAICS 334516 with a small business set aside standard of 1,000 employees applies. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is FAR 13.106-1(b), purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold may be solicited from one source if it is determined that the circumstances of the contract deems only one source available. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations and a solicitation will not be issued in conjunction with the notice of intent.

Any vendor that believes it can provide the stated services may provide a capability statement. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. Responses to this notice shall be received no later than 1:00 pm MDT on September 19, 2024. A determination by the Government whether to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
