This request for capability information does not constitute a request for quotations or proposals. Submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary and will be used only for market research purposes to determine availability of sources, commerciality, and competitive strategy. The government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs associated with any response to this notice as incurred by prospective contractors.

Project Title: NNMC – Notice of Intent to Single Source for Postage Meter Tracking Number: IHS1504199 The Indian Health Service (IHS), Shiprock Service Unit (SSU), Northern Navajo Medical Center (NNMC), located in Shiprock, NM 87420 intends to Single Source, firm-fixed-price, award to The Pitney Bowes Bank, Inc Suite 320, 215 South State Street, Salt Lake, UT 84111 to replenish funds for the postage meter at Northern Navajo Medical Center.

The award will be a single source procurement awarded to The Pitney Bowes Bank, Inc in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), for purchases not exceeding the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT), Contracting Officers may solicit from only one source if the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source is reasonably available based on urgency. Northern Navajo Medical Center requires the postage meter to send hospital mail which includes documents, appointment letters, and prescriptions.

This notice is not a solicitation or a request for offers. Any potential sources other than Pitney Bowes Bank, Inc. may submit a capability statement via electronic mail to Beverly Begay, Purchasing Agent, at beverly.begay@ihs.gov on January 13, 2025 by 12:00 MST. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted.

Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A solicitation will not be issued.
