Notice of Intent to Sole Source Belimed Sterilizers and Washers maintenance services

Reference#: HT941024N0024 The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA) Western Healthcare Operations Contracting Division (WHO-CD) on behalf of Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.501(a), Only One Responsible Source. The proposed source is Belimed, Inc., the originator of the equipment and the sole authorized servicer of the maintenance of Belimed washer and sterilizers.

This requirement to provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform full service and maintenance contract with chamber, washer and cart cleanings as defined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) except for those items specified as government furnished property and services. The contractor shall perform to the standards in this PWS.

This requirement has period of performance from 30 March 2024 to 29 March 2029 (base + 4 options). There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) 811210 – Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement.

However, parties interested in responding to this notice will need to submit technical data sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product. All capability statements received by the closing date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
