1. Cannon Air Force Base in New Mexico is searching for potential contractors and information regarding installation of outdoor Holiday/Seasonal lights and/or decorations around the base. Cannon AFB is seeking information from interested parties that can provide the requirements below. All prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) database to be awarded a DoD contract. If you are not registered in SAM.gov please contact the POCs below or contact a Small Business Development Center.
2. This announcement is a Request for Information (RFI) and is NOT a Request for quotation (RFQ). This announcement does not commit the government to award a contract now or in the future. There is no solicitation or funding currently available. Additionally, the government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received or expenses incurred because of this Sources Sought/RFI announcement. Any information submitted by respondents to this RFI is strictly voluntary. All submissions become Government property and will not be returned.
3. Questions: What is the business practice/standard for putting up holiday lights/decorations? Are there contractors out there that install and provide lights/decorations? What prep work needs to be done prior to putting up holiday lights/decorations? Do we provide the lights and contractors only install? Or can we rent the lights/decorations and contractors install/remove? Is there a need for a power source? Or are there battery-operated lights? Are solar-powered lights doable in Clovis, NM?
What are the pros and cons? What kind of lights/decorations do you provide? Is there a business that would install power to the poles that also install the lights? Are there contractors that install holiday lights for different holidays/seasons? What are the common holidays/seasons that lights/decorations are installed for?
4. Submission Details:

Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with applicable regulations.
Respondents shall indicate which portions of its response are Intellectual Property (IP) and mark IP accordingly. Classified submittals will not be accepted. A site visit will be scheduled for May 29th @ 1000-1200. Deadline for the names for the site visit will be May 27th @ 1600. The overall RFI response is due by 30 May 2024 by 1300 MDT.
