Intent to Sole Source- NuAIRE Inc.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Global Health Center (GHC) Division of Global HIV & TB (DGHT) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to NuAIRE, Inc., for the NuAIRE NU-543 Biosafety Cabinets. The CDC safety office recommends this NuAIRE biosafety cabinet model for safety compliance in all of CDC laboratories.

The NuAIRE NU-543 biosafety cabinets meet CDC laboratory functionality by offering a 5 year warranty includes HEPA filters replacement , a digital electronic control system, including airflow sensor provides real time air flow values and alarm if air flows fall outside of acceptable range, a single ultra-high efficiency blower motor minimizes energy use, and maximizes filter life, a work tray prop up feature for easy cleaning of unit, ensuring minimal exposure to staff during reoutine cleaning procedures and preventative maintenance, a 5AMP fuse for duplex outlets, the ability to choose three different NSF-listed access openings - 8", 10", or 12", a Local field representative who can assist with service after the sale and ensure correct installation and set-up of the product.

NuAIRE has industry leading technical support at the factory and carry replacement parts in stock and ready to ship immediately when needed. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested parties may identify their interest and submit documentation of their capability to respond to the requirement.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within six (6) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
