NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SINGLE SOURCE CONTRACT The 905th CBN (Contracting Battallion), Ft. Liberty NC, intends to award a Single Source Purchase Order to Duke University located at 2200 W MAIN ST DURHAM, NC 27705-4640, for the purposes of providing two, one day seminars that are taught directly by Duke University staff. The 905th CBN will utilize Simplified Acquisition Procedures.

The authority for soliciting a single source under simplified acquisition procedures is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Soliciting Competition, which states that contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization). The proposed contract action is Single Source only.

This Notice of Intent is not a request for quotation. No solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is entirely at the discretion of the Government. The intent of this announcement is for informational purposes only. However, all responsible sources may submit a response which shall be considered by the agency.

Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
