Notice of Intent to Sole Source Medical Supplies

Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source with Johnson & Johnson Healthcare Systems Inc. for the purchase of various medical supplies on an emergency basis.

The Indian Health Service, Navajo Area, Gallup Service Unit, located at 516 East Nizhoni Blvd, Gallup, New Mexico intends to negotiate a single source award to Johnson & Johnson Healthcare Systems Inc., 425 Hoes Lane, Piscataway New Jersey, 08854. The period of performance begins on February 1, 2024 through July 31, 2024. NAICS NUMBER 339113: Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing, with a small business set aside standard of 700 applies.

The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is FAR 13.106-1(b), purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold may be solicited from one source if it is determined that the circumstances of the contract deems only one source available. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. There will be no solicitation available for competitive quotes.

Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
