PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a request for proposal. No solicitation exists at this time. The 316th Contracting Squadron located at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland is conducting a sources sought to determine the availability, interest and technical capability of qualified businesses capable of operational and sustainment support the Active Vehicle Barriers (AVB) system Maintenance and Repair (M&R) Services Contract at Joint Base Andrews MD.
Vehicle barrier systems include, but are not limited to, actuators, control systems (including software), control wiring, circuitry, structural framework, lighting, spring assembly, hydraulic- related equipment, safety loops and other vehicle detection systems, switches, corresponding traffic lights, light duty drop arms, associated computerized systems, and control cabinets.
Work shall comply with all applicable commercial and United States (US) military standards/specifications as well as Federal, State, and local laws and regulations as defined within the forthcoming RFP. The Contractor must comply with the recommendations of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), but the performance frequency shall be determined within RFP. The Contractor is responsible for obtaining the manufacturer specifications.
The following workload estimates and OEM equipment is the context of this sources sought notice: 28 NASATKA NMSB III B Hydraulic pop-up barriers and associated pressurizing and control devices. 8 NMSB XV Manual operated barriers for use upon demand. 2 NMSB XV-MAX Portable pop-up barriers. 2 Nasatka Model IIIB-10R-S-E Hydraulic barriers and associated hydraulic equipment8 and control devices.

The information from this notice will help the 316TH CEOES Squadron at Joint Base Andrews to plan their acquisition strategy for the requirement. For this acquisition, the NAICS code 811210—Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance will apply.
At the time of RFP submission, all responding businesses are required to identify and confirm their firm’s size and type of business to this NAICS code as instructed. Interested businesses responding to this sources sought must should submit their capability statement indicating proper levels of experience to ensure their services can meet the needs of the Government. A base of year of twelve months plus four option years is the intent of this acquisition. Please submit all information to charles.maddox.8@us.af.mil by 2:00 PM Eastern on 23 May 2024.
