NOI TO SOLE SOURCE: Peak Scientific Inc. (Preventative Maintenance)

The USDA, Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) intends to issue an award on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)) to Peak Scientific Inc. at 210 Littleton Rd Westford, MA 01886. FSIS seeks to establish a contract with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Peak Scientific Instruments. This ensures the contracted technicians will supply the needed expertise, as well as access to specialty parts and equipment required to keep the proprietary instruments functioning.

Establishment of a service contract to ensure the generators located at the Western Laboratory undergoes preventative maintenance and is, when necessary, repaired in a timely manner to be fully operational to maintain required sample throughput and turnaround time for inspection results.

List of Equipment being Serviced: 1 Peak I-Flow 6021Nitrogen Generator system 2 Genius NM32LA Nitrogen Generators 1 Genius XE35 nitrogen generator Peak Scientific Inc. is the sole provider for service, OEM parts, technical support, and contractual maintenance for all Peak Scientific gas generators located within the North American territory. Peak Scientific Inc. does not train, nor authorize, any other organizations within North America to service or maintain Peak Scientific laboratory gas generators.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data sufficient to determine capability in providing the same or similar supply. All capability statements received by the closing date of this publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.

A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Capability statements shall be submitted only by e-mail as a Microsoft Office Word, Microsoft Office Excel, or Adobe PDF attachment to angela.carey@usda.gov. FSIS plans to issue a Fixed Price Purchase Order for preventative maintenance for a 12-month Base Year and two 12-month Option Periods.
