Approved John Deere Inspections - Service

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold and Only One reasonable available.

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to enter a fixed-price contract with Martin Equipment of Illinois, INC. of Goodfield, Illinois for the services of an approved John Deere service provider for annual inspection with certifications. The contract will also contain services to fix any deficiencies found during the inspections. The equipment includes a 470G Excavator, 410E-II Articulated Dump Truck and miscellaneous John Deer equipment.

The service location is primarily in the Peoria, IL and Starved Rock Lock and Dam. The NAICS code for this procurement is 811310 with a size standard not to exceed $12,500,000. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any small-business firm that believes it can meet the requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer in the form of a capability statement.

Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed and must be furnished to the point of contact listed below by August 14th, 2024 at 10:00AM CT. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
