450kV Multi-Anode Flash X-Ray System: Notice of Intent to Sole Source

1. This is a synopsis of proposed contract action for commercial products prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 5.207.

2. The proposed contract action is for the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) requirement for a new 450kV Multi-Anode Flash X-Ray System capable of a minimum of 8 captures/exposures with a minimum interframe time of 3 microseconds and an exposure time of 500 nano seconds or less. They system, including installation and training, is to be delivered to Arnold AFB, TN.

3. The North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) is 334517, Irradiation Apparatus Manufacturing with a business size standard of 1,200 employees. The Product/Service Code (PSC) is 6635, Physical Properties Testing and Inspection.

4. The Government plans to solicit and award one sole source, firm-fixed-priced (FFP), definitive contract to Hadland Imaging, LLC., 802 Seabright Ave, Santa Cruz, California 95062. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
