1. NOTICE This Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS)/RFI is issued for informational purposes and market research only; it does not constitute a solicitation. The Government will not reimburse any company or individual for any expenses associated with preparing/submitting information in response to this posting. The information provided may be used by the Government in developing its acquisition strategy, statement of work/statement of objectives, and/or performance specifications. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained within their response as instructed later in this posting.
2. BACKGROUND AND SCOPE The USAF Life Cycle Management Center, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance & Special Operations Forces (ISR & SOF) Directorate, Tactical Air Control Party Modernization (TACP-M) Program Office (AFLCMC/WISN) is conducting market research to identify possible sources capable of providing a TAC-P C2 Core Computer that will be used to conduct mission planning, integrate joint/coalition air power, reception of orders (ATO, ACO, OPSTASKLINK, etc.) for forward communication to TACP dismount kit & Joint/Coalition partners at the tactical edge.
Each computer must have 3x replaceable hard drives for operations on multiple networks (NIPR, SIPR, Coalition) and mounting canisters as required. The computer must have the appropriate video processor & RAM to manage 2x video feeds & moving map display simultaneously. The system must be able to run 3D mapping software and productivity applications simultaneously.
Capabilities are required to plan, request, coordinate, and conduct terminal attack control of strike aircraft executing joint Close Air Support (CAS) and Air Interdiction missions while the TACPs are in support of ground force maneuver operations as well as distributed command and control in support of ACC taskings.
