Description
As published on SAM.gov.
The Government is conducting market research and identifying, companies that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements of a contract supporting the United States Air Force, at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. The market research from this RFI will help in determining the Government's Acquisition Strategy.
The requirements are currently encompassed within the document: The B-52 Program Office is seeking information on potential interested and qualified providers to resolve a Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) issue with a router/switch combo (referred to as router throughout rest of the document) that has been tested in EMD but not available for production. The effort includes selecting a commercial off the shelf (COTS) solution and integrating it into the existing architecture.
New router is to be a same form, fit, function and interface (F3I) solution and already qualified to MIL-STD's. Effort will include necessary regression testing, design of any additional installation kit, as well as ability to provide the router, and kit if required, for production. Participation in this request is limited to U.S. DoD Contractors only with relevant experience of programs on military aircraft. Small businesses are encouraged to participate in this RFI. All Respondents should strive to justify or give evidence of how they can meet the specific requirements and state if they have any concerns with the requirements.
