Description
As published on SAM.gov.
The Boeing Co., Seattle, Washington, was previously awarded a $3,900,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract modification to contract FA8625-16-C-6599 to design, modify, test and deliver two VC-25B aircraft. The exception at DFARS 225.7002-2(b) applies to portions of this acquisition, because the Secretary concerned has determined that items grown, reprocessed, or produced in the United States cannot be acquired as and when needed in satisfactory quality and sufficient quantity at U.S. market prices.
The affected items are estimated to cost approximately $600,000 and work will be performed domestically in the United States. No additional funding has been awarded at this time. This award is the result of a sole-source acquisition. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.
