Pre-Award Synopsis - MC-130J Weather Radar

This requirement is sole source to Northrop Gruman Corporation (NGC). NGC is the OEM and is the only company authorized to upgrade and certify Airworthiness for the APN-241 system. Upgrade of the APN-241 requires access to NGC proprietary test fixtures/equipment. NGC is the only company capable of performing full repair of the system. Access to NGC proprietary data, test fixtures, and certification processes/procedures are required in order to modify and qualify the APN-241. Also, NGC is the only company qualified to certify the APN-241 Radar after any repair or upgrade action occurs.
