The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) is hosting an Industry Day for the PIGA Float Sustainment contract. This component plays a critical role in the guidance system of the Minuteman III (MMIII) missile. The government's intent is to establish a competitive procurement and believes adequate competition exists within the market. This event will provide interested parties with an opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities and experience relevant to sustaining the PIGA Float system.

The government reserves the right to set aside any subsequent acquisition based upon known sources and/or responses to this synopsis. Attendance at this Industry Day does not guarantee contract award.

Purpose: This Industry Day is primarily focused on facilitating industry presentations showcasing capabilities and innovative approaches to PIGA Float sustainment. Specifically, contractors should address their expertise in manufacturing and inspecting parts with extremely tight tolerances and their ability to secure and utilize rare materials.
While the government will provide a high-level overview of the PIGA Float system and its importance to the MMIII guidance system, the emphasis will be on industry partners demonstrating their understanding of the system's functionality and their proposed sustainment strategies. This is an opportunity for industry to differentiate their offerings and demonstrate their readiness to meet the sustainment needs of the PIGA Float system.

Interested parties are advised that certification of a DD2345 may take time, so completion and submission of that form as soon as possible is highly recommended.
Capability Presentations: Presenting capabilities at the Industry Day is highly encouraged for companies interested in pursuing this contract opportunity and is an excellent way to demonstrate their proposed approach to sustaining the PIGA Float system.
