Description

As published on SAM.gov.

This is an appropriated fund requirement for non-personal one-timeservice contractors to provide leak repair for the Trisonic Wind Tunnel Air Tank at the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA). The Government shall not exercise any supervision over contractor personnel. Contractor personnel shall be accountable solely to the primary contractor who in turn is responsible to the Government.

The Dean of Faculty Department of Aeronautics (DFAN) has a requirement to repair leaks in the air supply tanks for the Trisonic Wind Tunnel. These tanks hold air at pressures up to 600 psi, so a proper seal of the tanks is a critical safety issue. Should the tanks fail, severe property damage, injury or death could likely occur. There are six tanks, each approximately 68ft long and 5ft in diameter.

The tanks are connected in a series to produce one air supply; one tank has a heat sink installed inside; maximum pressure is 600psi. Prices quoted must be Firm-Fixed Price based on F.O.B Destination.
