Description

Spangdahlem AB is conducting market research for the below requirement. Be advised, this is NOT a solicitation, nor does it guarantee a solicitation for this requirement to be posted in the future. This is an official request for information (RFI) to notify prospective offerors. Feedback is encouraged. Quotes are not currently being requested.

Currently, there is no specialised foundation for the LCO2 tank to stand upon: is a specialised foundation required and if so, what specifications would such a foundation have to fulfill to safely support a long-term positioning of a LCO2 tank?

The purpose of this requirement is to provide a liquid CO2 storage tank with the following draft-requirements: The tank should have a capacity of 6,000 - 7,000 liters and be a vacuum-insulated double wall tank consisting of two concentric vessels, a low-temperature resistant austenitic steel inner tank and an outer tank made of carbon steel with an anti-corrosion primer and a top coat of paint.

The interspace between the two tanks should be filled with perlite insulating powder and an absorbent to maintain a vacuum pressure of < 0.05 millibar during tank operation. The maximum allowable working pressure for the inner vessel must be 22 bar gauge for temperatures ranging from -196° up to 20°C. It must supply pressurized LCO2 at 189-261 psi (13-18 bar) to a Dry Ice Production Hub through a flexible hose attachment. It will include a safety valve system to prevent overpressurizaton and a safety shutoff valve.

The tank must be manufactured and tested in accordance with EU 97/23/EC and EN 13458. The company's Quality Management System must satisfy all elements of the EN ISO 9001/2000 program or ASME (U, U2, R-Stamp).
