Hush House Inspection Service for Misawa AB, Japan

Note: the notice stated that the close date for the solicitation was 02 October, 2024. This is an administrative error, as the solicitation document (see attachments) state that the close time is 23 September, 2024, which is correct. Therefore, an amendment clarifying the administrative error has been published, and the notice now correctly states 23 September 2024 as the close date for the solicitation. This services as a notice of single source for non-standard Hush House inspection services at Misawa AB, Japan.

These services are not for any construction or repair services, and any follow on services shall be solicited at a later date. The Government has determined that the Hush Houses utilized by Misawa AB are not the standard Hush Houses that are utilized at other Air Force Bases, Therefore, the Government has also determined that the competition for the inspection of these Hush Houses shall be restricted to the two offers identified in the attached single source justification letter.

Again, these services are only for the inspection of the Hush Houses to identifiy what issues currently exist in the Hush Houses. The information provided to the Government under this effort is intended to be provided in future soliciations for any repair or construction services related to the Hush Houses. The Government also intends for this action only to be restricted for competition; the Government does not anticipate any follow-on efforts to be restricted beyond a set-aside for any small business category. If any restrictions to follow-on efforts that restrict competition become necessary, the Government shall provide the justification for such circumstances.
