This notice serves to inform the public of the Government's intent to award a sole source contract in accordance with FAR 5.201(b)(1)(i). This announcement is for informational purposes only and does not constitute a request for competitive proposals; therefore, no solicitation document is available for this requirement.
While responses to this notice of intent to sole source are not anticipated, interested parties who believe they can fulfill the requirements are encouraged to submit comprehensive information in writing, detailing their capability to provide the specified supply. In accordance with FAR 5.203(a)(1), submissions must be received by 12:00 pm CMT on 09 June 2025. The Government reserves the right to make a determination not to compete this requirement based on the responses received.
Any information submitted will be evaluated solely to assess the feasibility of conducting a competitive procurement. 355 CONS intends to award a sole source for the procurement of the following supplies to Laron Air Supply: The 355 Component Maintenance Squadron (CMS) requires repair and maintenance services for two (2) Quincy Compressors and one (1) desiccant air dryer located in Building 4891. The specific requirements include:
-One (1) T120V-200 Air Receiver Tank -One (1) 2013100932 Pressure Relief Valve and Gauge Kit -One (1) QTD-115 Drain -One (1) 8092375044 6FT CABLE TYPE A NEMA 5 -Service and inspection for air compressors: This includes removing and replacing air filters, oil filters, separators, and oil; rebuilding the multi-purpose valve (MPV), thermostat, check valve, and unloader; taking oil samples; performing troubleshooting; conducting test runs; and taking and recording data. -Inspection of the desiccant air dryer: This includes isolating the unit, taking readings, and recording data Both air compressors are currently displaying error codes and are inoperable, and the desiccant air dryer is in need of routine maintenance.
All equipment is manufactured by Quincy Compressors and is out of both the manufacturer and construction warranty periods. These air compressors and dryers are critical for providing breathing air and shop air necessary for the 355 CMS to perform its mission. Having the breathing air compressors repaired and maintained by an authorized Quincy Compressors Service Representative is critical to ensuring the safety and reliability of the breathing air supply for the 355 CMS.
