LOCOMOTIVE LIGHTS AND SPEEDOMETER

The locomotive can be placed into service as a standalone piece of equipment, auxiliary lights need to be installed on the running boards above the pilot IAW CFR 49 Part 229.125 section D. The vendor will install light mounts, housing, bulbs, run conduit, wire and install switch gear for operation by the engineer in the cab of the locomotive. The vendor will also install a speedometer in the cab of the locomotive with a drive installed off one of the axles.

The vendor will be required to fabricate amount for an axle driven generator, provide wiring and conduit to connect the generator to the speedometer drive and then to the speedometer head which will be within the view of the engineer’s seat. The speedometer will be calibrated and operationally checked by the vendor.
