Description

As published on SAM.gov.

Telecommunications Upgrade from the DoD current Time-Division Multiplexing (TDM) phone long distance and DSN protocol to the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) by 1 May 2025.The Department of Defense (DoD) issued a directive in February 2023 mandating that all legacy Time-Division Multiplexing (TDM) telecommunication infrastructures be migrated to Internet Protocol (IP) by May 2025. This move is part of a broader effort to modernize and enhance the DoD's communication systems, ensuring better interoperability and efficiency.

This upgrade will involve the porting of our existing telephone numbers or procurement of contiguous telephone numbers, enabling local and long-distance concurrent calls. Collaborating closely with carriers to configure and deliver state-of-the-art telephone services is essential. See PWS attachment for detailed technical requirements.
