Notice of Intent to Sole Source: Haas Milling Machine

This notice acts as notice of intent to award a sole source contract IAW FAR 5.207. The 30th Contracting Squadron at Vandenberg Space Force Base (SFB), CA intends to award a sole source purchase order contract to Phillips Corporation Inc.for the purchase of one (1) Haas CNC Mill – VF-3 with Options. The required items and quantities are as follows:

CLIN 0001: Haas CNC Mill – VF-3 with Options The applicable NAICS for this acquisition is 333248 – All Other Industrial Machinery Manufacturing with a business size standard of 750 Employees. The applicable PSC is 3695 Miscellaneous Special Industry Machinery. The proposed contract is for items for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the Authority of AFFARS 5313.501 - 10 U.S.C. 3204(e), Implementation of Simplified Acquisition Procedures (41 U.S.C.

1901) as only one source is reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement action and is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.

Firms who seek to challenge the sole source must submit substantiating documentation that demonstrates your firm's ability to provide an equivalent supply as described in the attached Salient Characteristics. Respond to the below point of contact referencing Notice ID FA461024Q_MILL by 30 Sep 2024 at 5:00 p.m. (PDT). A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
