Intent To Sole Source - AFJROTC CoDrone

The mission of Air Force Junior ROTC is to "develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community." The program achieves this through classroom education in air and space fundamentals and hands on learning opportunities in a number of fun and challenging extra-curricular activities. Without these critical tools and full support of the other extra-curricular activities use by AFJROTC, the program becomes “classroom only”, likely result in a decline in enrollment.

Additionally, since this type of challenging, fun, and innovative learning tool is what truly draws new cadets into AFJROTC, many recruiting opportunities will be lost at units that do not receive these items. The result will be a smaller number of high school students who are exposed to the Air Force. This drone will be the second step in a three tier learning objective in drone operations.

NOTES OF IMPORTANCE: This is not a request for quotes and no solicitation is available.

1. A determination not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received in response to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

2. Respondents are discouraged from submitting any information deemed competition-sensitive or proprietary.

3. Respondents will not be reimbursed for any costs incurred in responding to this intent to sole source (ISS). Information submitted will not be returned to the respective respondents. 4.Oral submissions of information will not be considered in response to this ISS. This sole source procurement is under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). This will be a firm-fixed price contract. 5.
