Intent to Sole Source - Variable Air Valves & Other Components

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SINGLE SOURCE CONTRACT The 21st Contracting Squadron intends to award a Single Source Purchase Order to Setpoint Systems Corp, 8167 Southpark Circle, Littleton Colorado 80120-5666 for the replacement of variable air valves and accompanying components with subsequent integration, testing, and certification to the Delta Controls systems at Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station. Setpoint Systems Corp is the only company authorized to service the current systems.

Setpoint Systems Corp has been assigned directly by Delta Controls. No other vendors are authorized to service the systems without express authorization of Delta Controls. 21 CONS will utilize Simplified Acquisition Procedures.

The authority for soliciting a sole source under simplified acquisition procedures is FAR 13.501(a)(i), which that allows contracting officers to solicit from one source if the contracting officer justifies the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization) in writing AND is approved at the level specified in 13.501(a)(2). The proposed contract action is Sole Source only.

A copy of the justification is attached in accordance with FAR 13.501(a)(iv) and 5.102(a)(6). This Notice of Intent is not a request for quotation. No solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming. Interested parties may identify their interest, request a copy of the RFQ, and may submit a response by 10:00 AM Mountain Time, 6 August 2024, which shall be considered by the Government.
