30k / 60k Load Cells

AFMETCAL at Heath OH intends to solicit and award a Sole Source Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) in accordance with FAR Part 13-Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR Part 12-Acquisition of Commercial Items for the purchase of 30k and 60k Load Cells to Tovey Engineering, Inc. (Cage 1TY59). Only Tovey Engineering can supply the necessary load cells due to the proprietary technology and software for configuration of the system.

This procurement will provide the best value to the Government at this time. The Government envisions a Firm Fixed Price type contract. The anticipated quantity is 29 30k load cells over a 5 year period and 9 60k load cells over the same period. The requirement is for 30k and 60k load cells in accordance with the Purchase Description, which is available for download at this site. A copy of the approved J&A is also posted with this notification.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS. No solicitation package will be issued. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by AFMETCAL.

Interested sources must respond in writing with clear and convincing evidence to support their ability to provide the required item within fifteen (15) days of this publication.
