Intent to Sole Source - NIPR CORE Storage Repair

The 42nd Contracting Squadron at Maxwell AFB, AL hereby gives NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE to Paragon Micro to analyze and repair its HPE, 3PAR 8400 2N NIPR Core (File, Print, Web & Application) Storage Hardware Equipment and restore data access, due to both nodes being inaccessible in accordance with (IAW) the attached Statement of Work (SOW).

Brief Description of Requirement: The contractor shall analyze and repair its HPE, 3PAR 8400 2N NIPR Core (File, Print, Web & Application) Storage Hardware Equipment and restore data access, due to both nodes being inaccessible at Maxwell AFB, AL.

Place of Performance: Maxwell AFB, AL. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541511, Custom Computer Programming Services There will be no written solicitation issued. This is an intent to purchase a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). This will be a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract utilizing Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures.

To be eligible to receive an award resulting from this RFQ, contractors MUST BE REGISTERED and ACTIVE in the DoD Systems for Award Management (SAM) database at time of quotation submission, no exceptions. Those capable of meeting the requirement IAW the SOW are requested to answer the questions below as well as provide the following information in their response: 1) Current capability that demonstrates your company's ability to meet the requirements as outlined in the attached SOW, 2) Company name, point of contact, e-mail address, telephone and fax numbers, type of business and size, Cage Code, and UEI number.

These services require a detailed and intricate in-depth knowledge of the 42d Communications Network Data Center equipment configuration. Can your company meet this requirement? If so, please provide supporting documentation to verify your company’s capability knowledge of the existing configuration. If you answered yes to question 2.a. please answer the following. Does your company have the detailed knowledge and tools to recover information when both nodes of a system are inaccessible?

Does your company have a current working knowledge of the Maxwell AFB HPE 3PAR 8400 Network Data Center equipment configuration? Does your company possess the ability and experience to troubleshoot and correct the Maxwell AFB 3PAR 8400 issue in a timely manner and guarantee complete data recovery? Does your company have an extensive background with working on HPE 3PAR 8400 systems and success with recovering inaccessible data? Does your company employ engineers with considerable knowledge and experience working on and troubleshooting HPE 3PAR 8400 Systems?
