Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source - Siemens Fire Alarm Panel Installation

NOTICE OF INTENT AND AWARD FROM A SINGLE SOURCE: The 502d Contracting Squadron intends to award a sole-source purchase order to Siemens Industry, Inc. (Cage Code: 1HLQ3) to replace and install existing Siemens FC922 series fire alarm control panel. The Siemens FC922 series fire alarm control panel installation and programming can only be accomplished by Siemens technicians.

The purpose of this action is to provide a notice of intent for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Siemens Industry, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i).

In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, the Contracting Officer (CO) may solicit from one source if the CO determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g. urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name or industrial mobilization). This notice of intent is neither a request for competitive quotes nor a solicitation for offers.

Interested persons may identify their interest and capabilities for fulfilling this requirement. Information received will be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement and is solely within the discretion of the Government.
