The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of Construction firms located within 50 miles of Washington, DC, Zip code 20410, to compete for and perform a Firm Fixed Price Contract. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible.
An organization that is not considered a small business under the applicable NAICS code (238160) should not submit a response to this notice. The Small Business size standard for NAICS code 238160 is $19 million dollars in average annual receipts over the past three years. This Sources Sought encourages full and open competition. Prior Government contract work is not required for submitting a response under this sources sought synopsis.
A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement as a set-aside based upon responses to this Notice and other Market Research is solely within the discretion of the Government. General Services Administration (GSA) Public Building Services (PBS), NCR Region 11, is seeking potential sources capable of furnishing all management, labor, materials, equipment and transportation in support of general construction, as follows:
Department of Commerce Mission Tile Roof Replacement at the Herbert C. Hoover Building. The roof has been deteriorating since its repairs in the mid-1990s. Consequently, missing/broken tiles have begun to cause roof leaks into the building. There is a considerable amount of damage to the roof that has led to water leaks being observed. Majority of the clay tiles are from the original construction, making them nearing the end of their expected 100-year useful life.
The Government anticipates the award of a single Firm-Fixed Price contract with a total contract performance period of eight hundred fifty four (854) calendar days. The primary location of performance is Washington, DC. GSA’s estimated price range for this project is $10,000,000.00-$20,000,000.00.
