Video Teleconference (VTC) Equipment Support

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE – THIS IS A NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT’S INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD TO BASSEC, LLC. FOR VIDEO TELECONFERENCE (VTC) EQUIPMENT SUPPORT The Department of Defense (DoD) Washington Headquarters Services Acquisition Directorate (WHS/AD) intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract for Video Teleconference (VTC) Equipment Support to BASSEC, LLC., 8462 CLOVER LEAF DR, MC LEAN, VA 22102 (SAM Unique Entity ID:

FQVENFFJ4ZM9, CAGE: 72P80). In order to meet the Government’s mission, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), Information Management and Technology (IM&T) Division requires procurement for continual support for their Mechanicsburg VTC. BASSEC, LLC designed and built IM&T Mechanicsburg’s integrated VTC solutions for training, conferencing, and special purpose meeting rooms. Each room received custom purpose-built audiovisual systems uniquely fitted to the application environment of each meeting space.

BASSEC designed and retains the rights to drawings, software, and proprietary architectural assemblies. This is not a new requirement; this is a follow-on to current contract number HQ003422P0073. The requirement provides mission critical VTC enhancements support, end user training from certified engineers and integrated room maintenance. This procurement will be issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures.

The NAICS code utilized for this procurement is 334310 Audio and Video Equipment Manufacturing with a Small Business Size Standard of 750 employees. The PSC code is 5836 Video Recording and Reproducing Equipment. These are commercial items/services with a dollar value under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold for a period of performance of one Base Period and four Option Years with an anticipated start date of 9/30/2024. This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposal or quotation. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged.
