Sole Source MT-2XX Parachute System and sub-components

Notice of Intent to Sole Source This is a notification that Naval Special Warfare Command (NSWC) intends to award a sole-source, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to Airborne Systems North America of NJ Inc. (CAGE 57172), under the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901. The anticipated period of performance will be a five-year ordering period. This sole source acquisition is being conducted under the authority of simplified procedures at 41 U.S.C.

1901, as implemented by FAR 12.102(b). NSWC requires supplies to support and maintain the MT2XX Parachute System and sub-components. Airborne Systems North America of NJ, Inc. is the sole manufacturer and distributor of the system and its related components and replacement parts. No other retail distributors are authorized by manufacturer. The supplies will be acquired in accordance with FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services.

The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334511. The size standard is 1350 employees. Airborne Systems North America of NJ, Inc. is the only known vender that can provide the required supplies necessary to meet the minimum requirements of this effort. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS. The contractor identified is the only known source for the subject requirement. The Government will not pay for information submitted.
