Treatment of noxious weeds on public lands in Carbon County

Notice of Intent to Sole Source The Bureau of Land Management, Utah State Office, Price Field Office intends to award a firm fixed price sole-source purchase order for the service for invasive weeds treatment in Carbon County, Utah with the Carbon County Weed Department.

It is in the government¿s best interest to work, whenever possible, with the county as they can better coordinate weeds treatments across multi-jurisdictional boundaries (e.g. state and patented lands) and they are headquartered in close proximity to public lands in the county. The requirement will be for a base year and four (4) option years.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 561730, Weed control and fertilizing services (except crop), with a size standard of $9.5M. This action is under the authority of FAR 13.106-1. The anticipated award date is 3/01/2024. Please note that this is not a request for competitive quotes.

However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit, in writing, complete information describing their ability to provide the services listed above. Deadline for submittals is 02/20/2024 at 11:00 AM MT. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
